Privacy Policy & Text Messaging Terms

Effective October 26, 2026

Privacy Policy

Closing with Confidence LLC (“we,” “us”) operates closingwithconfidenceny.com and the Closing with Confidence closing portal at portal.closingwithconfidenceny.com (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information we collect

How we use information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How information is shared

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages.

Retention and security

We keep closing records for as long as the attorney’s account is active or as needed for legal and professional record-keeping obligations. Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and documents are stored in private storage.

Your choices

You can update your contact details and notification preference in your account, opt out of text messages at any time (see below), or ask us to delete your account by emailing pete@closingwithconfidenceny.com. Records that belong to a closing file may be retained by the attorney handling the matter.

Text Messaging Terms

Text messages are sent only to parties whose consent the closing attorney has recorded. When collecting a party’s mobile number, the attorney or staff member reads the following script:

“As part of your closing, Closing with Confidence can send you text messages with your private portal link, closing status updates and notices of new messages or documents. Message frequency varies, typically a few texts per week while the deal is active. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP at any time to opt out. Our privacy policy and texting terms are at closingwithconfidenceny.com/privacy. Would you like to receive these text updates? (Yes / No)”

If the party says yes, the attorney checks “This party agreed to receive text updates about this closing” when adding the party in the portal. The first text the party receives confirms their enrollment and includes STOP and HELP instructions. Parties can also turn text updates on or off themselves by choosing their notification preference in their portal account.

Changes and contact

We may update this page and will post the new effective date above. Questions: pete@closingwithconfidenceny.com.
